Mother's Day High Tea 2021

Sunday 16 May 2021, 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm

Karralyka Centre, Mines Road, Ringwood East.

A fundraising celebration of family and community that offers a quality high tea with a free glass of wine, a pamper pack and wonderful stories of women leading in our community.

We raise funds ethically through quality events, sponsorship, donations, bequests and membership.
We connect with the local community in a variety of ways and provide grants to local community groups and disadvantaged individuals in need.

This year, the Foothills Foundation is developing some new events and staying with the tried and true as well:

In May, it is our Mother’s Day High Tea celebrating family and community.

In June, it’s ‘Le Tour Dinner’ for all cycling and Tour de France enthusiasts.

In September, it’s our ‘Footy Finals Lunch’.

In November, it’s ‘The Footmen Annual Charity Golf Day’ now in its 41st Year.

Details of all 2021 events coming soon.

Maroondah Council offered Monkami a retail shop in Main Street Croydon for them to use as an Opportunity Shop, which should prove a very good fund raising venture for them. The premises are very large and there is space for them to also have an art studio that will be used by Monkami clients and in time the general public for the conduct of art classes. The shop needed fitting out and we contributed $2500 to provide the necessary partitioning and benches so they could move in and start up straight away. The shop is located on the corner of the arcade leading to the station (opposite Hewish Road) and you are welcomed to call in and browse and buy.

We have agreed to continue our sponsorship to provide a car for staff at EVRC (Eastern Volunteers) at a cost of $4000-00 per annum. The car is used by staff to visit and transport clients.

Care Connect referred a case to us for a 63 year old male with a spinal disability who is non ambulant and
requires assistance with all tasks of daily living. He is wheelchair dependant and is also recovering from
difficulties with bowel cancer. He is being cared for at home and because of circumstances often retires early
to bed. An Occupational Therapist assessed the 35 year old waterbed as inadequate for his on going needs and
Footmen were pleased to help by provided a new bed at a cost of $1050.

We provided an iPad ($565) to local nursing home, which is to be used as an educational tool for their clients.

Elishacare have started up a gardening/handyman service to provide employment for clients returning to the
workforce and Footmen have purchased a suitable trailer for $2512.00. If you need home maintenance, call
